Dr Azam Beg is an Associate Professor with the College of Information Technology. Before joining the academia (in 2005), he acquired experience in diverse fields of computer, electrical and control engineering. He spent nearly 8 years at Intel Corp, USA, working on the design and validation of microprocessors, and on testing of flash memories. Before that, he had worked for 5 years as a test engineer for a control systems company. His experience also includes team and project management. He is the author/co-author of 83 publications (16 journal papers, 7 book chapters, and 57 conference papers). He holds a UK patent on low-energy instruction caches. He has earned funding for several projects as a PI/co-PI.
